Q. Why are we having this campaign?

A. The “Building for Future Generations” capital campaign is a St. Dorothy’s campus expansion project approved by the diocese to improve our facilities as a step change to a more vibrant and Christ centered youth catechesis.

Q. What are all the funds being used for? What are we getting?

A. The project includes the following:

  • Adoration Chapel for Perpetual Adoration

  • Relocation of Fr. Carlson on site and the upfit of the existing office to a new rectory as well as the sale of the existing rectory

  • The addition of new  office space, classrooms  and new multi-user bathrooms
  • The addition of a pavilion and additional classrooms makes it possible to achieve Fr Carlson’s desire to fully support a robust youth catechetical program which includes in classroom sacramental preparation, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Fraternus, Fidelis and Youth Group

  • New church ceiling

  • An upgraded covered entry to create a more “Catholic Church” like appearance.
Q. How much do we need to raise?

A. The projected total for all projects through completion is $3 million dollars.

Q. When do the payments begin?

A. Payments can begin as early as the capital campaign process begins. The sooner we receive funds the sooner we can break ground.

Q. Who will see my pledge?

A. All pledged amounts are held in confidence and are only made known to Fr. Carlson and a staff official for the purpose of necessary record keeping.

Q. Can only parishioners donate?

A. No, this campaign is open to people registered with our parish or not. They can be family, friends, co-workers, businesses, and other organizations. They can be from any denomination or walk of life. We request that people seriously consider providing referrals. The campaign is willing to contact that referral on their behalf.
